From November 17 to December 5, Mine Risk Education (MRE) specialists of the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise conducted MRE training and mass game-competitions in Ayrq, Kakhakn, Norabak settlements in Vardenis community, Gegharkunik region and Artsvaberd, Choratan, Aygepar, Chinchin, Mosesgegh, Norashen, Paravakar, Varagavan, Chinari and Aygedzor settlements in Berd community, Tavush region.
Training trails were equipped with educational ammunition and warning signs, and mass game-competitions were held. Local schoolchildren and residents were informed about the risks posed by mines and unexploded ordnance, learned about the signs warning of their presence, as well as safe behavior rules in case of encountering danger. In total, 299 people learned safe behavior rules, and 60 people participated in the game-competition.
