The Specialists of the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise have periodically organized explosive ordnance risk education courses in Gegharkunik, Armavir, Shirak regions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as in the city of Yerevan.
Children, teachers, as well as residents of the community were informed about the danger of mines/unexploded ordnance and the rules of safe behavior.
Totaly 5,478 citizens of Republic of Armenia are informed this year.
From March to April, the training center of CHDE organized EORE courses for experts of "Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities" and "Astghvard" NGO.
The specialists of these organizations, who successfully passed, were certified by the CHDE SNCO and received the right to conduct EORE classes in the regions of the Republic of Armenia for a period of one year.
For the first time, CHDE announced the admission of female deminers.
A course on "manual demining" was organized at CHDE training center for the selected participants, they were taught mine action, humanitarian demining and, through practical exercises, manual demining.
The participants who passed the theoretical and practical exams with high marks received the qualification of deminer and start a work at CHDE SNCO.
From April to May, practical and theoretical training courses on the topics of "improvised explosive devices", "manual demining", as well as "battle area clearance" were organized for employees of the operational department of CHDE.
On May 29, deminers of CHDE went to community of Kechut in the Vayots Dzor, where it is planned the clearance of contaminated areas.
