From 29 August to 02 September, 2023, the delegation of the “Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise” SNCO, led by the director Vaghinak Sargsyan was on official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The CHDE delegation visited demining operational site in the state of Kurdistan, IRI, got acquainted with the clearance methods and explosive ordnance risk education activities.
During the visit the first session of the “Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise” and Islamic Republic of Iran Mine Action Center (IRMAC) took place.
The issue of possible organization of explosive ordnance risk education training course for the “CHDE” instructors in the RA as well as humanitarian demining and explosive ordnance disposal in IRI International Specialized Training Institution was discussed.
Meanwhile, the issue of demining activities by IRMAC in Armenia was discussed as well as, in case of possibility, the arrival of the delegation consisting of the experts from mine action in Iran.
The minutes of the meeting was signed by both sides.
